Sweet Cherie

Take Me Out to the Go-Go Magazine has officially reached it’s 20th Anniversary!!

Expect co-owner/president Kato Hammond to keep feeding us snippets of go-go history through the TMOTT lens, using the hashtag #TMOTTGoGo20.

Often referred to collectively by Hammond as Take Me Out to the Go-Go Media or simply TMOTT Media — thanks to his multidimensional approach to brand building — the internet platforms have provided a treasure trove for anyone who has ever wanted to know anything about Go-Go culture.

TMOTT Media also encompasses TMOTTRadio.com, on which the Godfather of Go-Go Media co-hosts 99 & Kato: The Radio Experience.  The two-hour show, streamed live on video and audio from 1pm to 3pm every Friday, includes talk, music, interviews, and interactive chat with listeners via public Facebook posts on Kato Hammond’s page.  The show’s distinction is in the range of its strictly-DC-MD-VA playlist that spans genres, types of artists, and decades.  You can watch or listen to archived shows on 99andKatoRadio.com.

Take Me Out to the Go-Go Magazine circulated a number of printed editions in 1998.  Images from those, plus more on the history of Go-Go media on the DC Brand 99 Facebook page.
